UniSong 2017

The Winnipeg Boys' Choir accepted an invitation to sing at the 21st UniSong Festival in Ottawa in 2017. We were honoured to be singing at this unique musical experience with hundreds of choristers from across Canada.

The Winnipeg Boys' Choir sung at two concerts on June 29 and July 1, 2017. This July 1st was especially memorable for our singers as they were in our nation's capital during the 150th anniversary celebrations of our nation's Confederation. They had the opportunity to rehearse, work together, make friendships, and perform with people of all ages from all over the country.

Thank you for your moral and financial support as we represented Manitoba and the great singing talent of our province. Any amount we raised above the $2500 we needed to help our lower-income singers, was used to lower the cost for all of our choir families. Thank you for helping our singers to attend this once in a lifetime opportunity, to showcase their talent, and be a part of something truly amazing that they will never forget.

Thank you to our tour sponsors

We are grateful to the Foundation for Choral Music in Manitoba for a grant to help pay for extra music for Unisong, and for costs associated with our artistic staff's attendance at the festival.  The FCMM is a not-for-profit foundation that provides support towards the development and growth of Choral Arts throughout our province.  As such, the Foundation gratefully accepts donations for investment in the perpetual and endowed funds.  The interest income from these investments is used to support concerts, commissions, education and choral works of all kinds.  For more information, go to www.fcmm.ca or call 204-942-6037.
